BURGHEAD ARTS GROUP are supporting the Moray Feelgood Festival this month to raise awareness of Mental Health issues.
The group are hosting an exhibition from October 23 that will run through until Saturday, October 28 under the theme ‘Reclaim’ – saying that can be anything from reclaiming the environment, rubbish we throw away or that collects on our beaches – or reclaiming aspects of your own life.
For the exhibition people in Moray are being invited to submit their own work on Saturday, October 21 from 10am at the Old Bakery Studio in Burghead. A spokesman for the group said: “Anyone who can’t make it on that Saturday can let us know so we can make alternative arrangements, we don’t want to miss out on seeing your work.
“Art work should be labelled stating The Title, Artist, Medium, Price or not for sale. It would be good in view of the RECLAIM theme if you hand wrote these on something such as a piece of card torn from a cereal packet for example – feel free to use your imagination.
“There is no hand in fee but we invite artists to make a donation of 10% of any sales to the Festival, which we will collect and pass on the Feelgood Festival organisers on your behalf.”
