Elgin Quiz Night promises fun and mind-stretching puzzlers

AN AMATEUR ATHLETICS club are teaming up with the Moray Sports Centre in a brain-teasing event that it is hoped will raise much needed funds.

Elgin Amateur Athletics Club will join forces with the Sports Centre for a quiz night taking place tomorrow evening (Friday) in the Williamson Hall on Elgin’s Duff Avenue.

Quizmaster for the event will be local councillor Graham Leadbitter – who has kindly volunteered his time for an event that is expected to be full of fun – but also highly challenging.

Moray Sports Centre’s Kathryn Evans said: “EAAC have been very supportive of the Moray Sports Centre and are hoping that it will become their home for training and mini-competitions when construction is complete.

“This is a great opportunity for the two groups to combine their efforts. All funds from the raffle and entry costs will be split equally.

“Teams are made up of four people, but don’t worry if you are short of a few numbers – we can team you up with others. Ideally, we would like people to contact us in advance to ensure there are sufficient tables and chairs set-up in the hall.”
