LEISURE FACILITIES AT RAF Lossiemouth have been provided support from water supply firm Veolia Water Nevis Ltd.
The working relationship between the MoD contractor and the Moray base was strengthened recently when Gordon Clark, general manager of Veolia, visited the base.
His visit was to view items that had recently been funded by his company, with Mr Clark presenting a plaque recognising the support Veolia had provided to the Junior Ranks at the base. That came in the form of a donation of £1500 made by the company to improve the lounge area in the ‘Owl’s Hoot’ facility.
The donation was used to purchase a 55-inch Smart TV, a sound bar system, a DVD player and a number of beanbag-style gaming chairs.
Wing Commander Dan Lunnon-Wood, Officer Commanding Base Support Wing, accepted the donation on behalf of RAF Lossiemouth whilst thanking Mr Clark for his company’s generosity.
Currently there is no communal area in the Junior Ranks’ accommodation blocks, so the lounge provides a facility where personnel can meet in a relaxed environment with the option to watch a film or maximise their gaming experience with their friends.
