MORAY RESIDENTS WHO are keen to update their computing skills are being reminded by Moray College UHI that a special course discount ends this week.
The European Computer Driving Licence is a qualification that allows those who own it to demonstrate their competence in Information Technology Skills – an essential component for many job applicants.
Last year the College offered discounts for those wishing to study for the ECDL at Elgin, Buckie or in Forres.
The course is the most widely recognised qualification in the field of work-related computer use and is accredited by BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT. Modules may be taken in any order and enrolment is for one year.
The course is structured so that you can start ECDL anytime and is available during the day or in the evenings. Normal cost of the entire course is £245 – however, until Wednesday those registering for the course will be asked to pay only £45.
For individual modules which include Database, Productivity, Presentation, Spreadsheets and Word Processing, the costs is usually £95, but these are discounted to £30.
