Young people in Moray are being urged not to miss photographic opportunities during the current fine spell of summer weather and capture the natural beauty of the environment in which they live.
In association with Asda in Elgin, Moray Firth Radio’s ‘Cash for Kids’ and insideMoray, Dynamic Visions is calling for photographic entries for their annual competition which this year seeks entries that best depict the theme ‘Summer in Moray’.
Spokeswoman Michelle Gillibrand explained: “We have already had a number of superb entries but with the weather we have all enjoyed this summer there have been some amazing opportunities for young people to express themselves in pictures.
“All entries will be showcased on insideMoray so there is a real chance for the work of our young people to be seen and appreciated by just about everyone in Moray.”
The competition is open to young people in Moray in the Primary 3-4, Primary 5-7, S1-S3 and S4-6 age groups. Entries can be received from individuals, schools or youth groups.
The competition is being linked to a major charity variety show to be staged at the Lossiemouth Town Hall on Friday, October 3. The Asda/MFR Cash for Kids Charity Variety Show has already lined up an array of local talent with full details set to be announced next month.
Ms Gillibrand said: “The competition winners and runners-up will be guests at the variety show where their work will be on display.
“The school or youth group the winning entries attend will receive a percentage of the money raised on the night of this event – last year four schools in Moray received £300.00 each.
“We would like to take this opportunity to thank ASDA Elgin, MFR and insideMoray for making this a truly community project for the local community.
“Should you wish us to give a small presentation to your school about the competition, require a copy of the rules or any further details please email dynamicvisions13@gmail.com.”
