An arrest has been made in connection with two recent robberies against pensioners in Buckie.
A 41-year-old male has been charged with robbing a 79-year-old in the town on December 6 and a 77-year-old woman on December 11.
The same man has also been charged with a break-in at a home in Strathlene last month when property was stolen.
The man is expected to appear at Elgin Sheriff Court today.
Police thanked the public for their assistance in their inquiries, Detective Constable Phil Wu form Elgin CID said: “I would like to thank the public for their help with these enquiries.
“Buckie is generally a safe place to live and work and I would like to reassure the local community that this type of crime is a rare occurrence.”
